These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Wasssup ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, opening, or using the Wasssup mobile application ("the App") or visiting wasssup.app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. (See Contact at the end for who operates Wasssup.)
Wasssup is a mobile application that displays a map of public events happening in your city, aggregated from publicly available data sources. We are an information aggregator — we do not organize, host, sell tickets to, or operate any of the events shown.
You must be at least 13 years old (14 in Quebec) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Wasssup v1 does not require account creation. You can use the full app without giving us identifying information. If we add account features later, those will be governed by additional terms which we will publish in advance.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play).
You may NOT:
Event data shown in Wasssup is aggregated from third-party public sources and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Each event listing includes a link to its original source ("View original"). The original source is the authoritative version of the event information — not Wasssup.
You must verify event details (date, time, venue, price, ticketing) directly with the original source or the event organizer before:
We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep listings fresh, but we do not warrant or guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete, current, or that any event will actually occur. We expressly disclaim liability for:
By using Wasssup, you acknowledge that we are an aggregator, not an event operator, and you assume the risk of independent verification.
When you tap a "Buy Tickets" link or "View original" link, you leave the App and are taken to a third-party website (e.g. Ticketmaster, La Vitrine, an event organizer's site). Once you leave the App, the third-party's terms and privacy policy apply, not ours. We are not responsible for:
You can send us reports or suggestions (wrong information, scams, NSFW content, cancellations, ideas, etc.), and optionally attach one or more photos. Reports are anonymous — we do not ask for your name or email. When you send one, you confirm that:
Submissions are sent privately to the developer and are never shown to other users. We may, but are not obligated to, act on any specific report. We reserve the right to remove listings, contact data sources, delete a submission, or take other action at our discretion. Submissions are deleted within 3 months, or sooner on request (privacy@wasssup.app).
False or malicious reports may result in your access to the App being restricted.
If you grant notification permission, we may send you reminders for events you save. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or in the App's Settings menu.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
If we discontinue the App entirely, we will provide reasonable notice via the App or wasssup.app.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
We do not warrant that the App will be free of bugs, errors, downtime, security incidents, or that listings will be accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to:
Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the App is limited to CAD $50 (fifty Canadian dollars), or, if greater, the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. (As Wasssup v1 is free, this floor will typically apply.)
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations — in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wasssup, its operators, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable in Quebec, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be brought exclusively in the courts of the District of Montreal, Province of Quebec.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory protective consumer laws (Quebec, EU, etc.), nothing in these Terms limits the rights granted to you under those laws.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App and at wasssup.app/terms. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Wasssup is operated by Fahd El Omari (Montréal, Québec).
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and Wasssup regarding the App.
